(Day 68: 1,494.37 Total Miles) Wyanet Running

I spent the day running along the Hennepin Canal. In the early 1900's the canal was built to link the Illinois and the Mississippi River. Now it is a state park where people can fish or travel along the canal on the trail. The view was beautiful all day but other than some fishermen out on their boats and a couple walking their dog, I didn't see anyone. For the first time ever I was bored when out running. The two highlights of the day were walking through six inches of water for about a hundred feet where the canal was overflowing and messing with a snake that I saw sunning itself on the hot pavement. I probably should have left it alone but I figured even if it bit me, it would make a good video. Hopefully tomorrow I come across a few more people so I don't have to resort to taunting the local wildlife for entertainment.
