(Day 91: 1,949.30 Total Miles) Polk City Running

After taking an extra day off it felt great to get back to running. With the frustrations of having to make this trip solo and some days only making half the progress of my total miles ran, I needed to have some socialization over the weekend. Fortunately, the campsite I was at was packed and I got to have a little fun. It was great while it lasted but I needed to get back to work. To make things even better, my dad Daniel King was waiting to pick me up at the end of my run meaning that I actually made 27 miles of progress today instead of having to run half way out and then back to the RV. He will be here for the next days as well which is great because it literally doubles my progress towards the Pacific Ocean. I'm looking forward to spending the next couple days with him and I think the huge role that he has played thus far in my journey and his future involvement are special times that we will both look back on fondly. It's nice to know that whenever things have been difficult in my life I could count on him to help me, even when I was too stubborn to ask. Knowing this will never change brings me an incredible amount of happiness and gratitude for being so lucky as to have him as my father.
