(Day 149: 3,006.17 Total Miles) Vail Running #2

I almost can't believe that I've run over 3,000 miles since March, 28. Losing my mother to suicide was the most difficult thing I've ever been through but being able to run across the country while sharing my story and helping others has been a life altering experience. Meeting so many who have dealt with losing a loved one to suicide has helped me put some of it into perspective and more importantly, made me feel less alone in my loss. Through AFSP and meeting others from like-minded charities, I have made some lifelong friends. We all talk about how we wish we never would have met under these circumstances but now that we have, there is an unending bond and friendship. It has been an honor to meet so many wonderful people who put so much time and effort into suicide prevention. I'm not sure exactly where my life will take me after this long journey but I know for sure that I will always be involved in this cause one way or another for the rest of my life.
